Kanienkeha (ga nien geha) Mohawk Culture & Language

 

Our program is located on the Akwesasne reserve and is delivered by Mohawk RECEs, our curriculum is influenced by Mohawk culture incorporated in the daily practices, food, language and traditions.  The Thanksgiving Address guides and supports our pedagogy. 

 

Mohawk language and songs are more apparent in the mornings during the Tota (dodah)/grandparent visitor program, and with the social songs offered by the traditional singers who visit the centers.
